Packaged very well for shipment. A quality piece for our bathroom.
I love this for our master bathroom which has lots of light grey accents. Very cute.
Having studied the art of painting and watercolors in the 1960s, Nancy Overton knew nothing of the influence that paper would have on her artistic life. Her world of art consists of paper and glue; torn and cut paper collage and papier mâché. Using handmade papers from Japan and Nepal, sheet music, old letters, and recipes collected from garage and estate sales, Nancy creates intricate pieces of art through found materials. Gluing pieces of paper to a watercolor block, she works from large to small to smallest – placing a crumb of paper with a toothpick to create the highlight in a cat’s eye. Through her themes of birds, animals, and flowers, her goal is to increase awareness of the natural world. Through her food collections, she aims to celebrate wine, tea, and cookies.
Nancy Overton is a 1965 graduate of the California College of Arts and Crafts with a fine arts degree in Painting. Currently residing in California, she calls Sacramento her home.
